Dr. Lee earned his PhD from the Department of Pathology at National Taiwan University and conducted his postdoctoral research in the renowned laboratory of Professor Judah Folkman at Harvard Medical School. During this time, he contributed to the development of several important drugs, including Avastin, Lucentis, and Eylea, and invented Fc-endostatin. He later served as director of Fountain Biopharma Inc., leading the development of multiple innovative drugs such as the anti-IL-6 antibodies.
As an entrepreneur, Dr. Lee has helped establish several startups, including Protect Animal Health (寶泰生醫) and Celtec (震泰生醫). He is currently the CEO of StemCyte, where he is involved in developing the stem cell therapy REGENCYTE, showcasing his diverse expertise in translating innovations from cancer drugs and biologics to regenerative medicine.
